“You know those moments where you absolutely hate yourself? I had my baby 18 months ago, and he is absolutely the thing that brings the most joy to my life. But, he was also the thing that changed my body into something I no longer recognized. It was HARD to lose weight post partum, hard to find time to workout, hard to diet, and really hard to find the beauty in myself.

I don’t want to discredit my husband though this- he has honestly tried so hard to make me feel beautiful and wanted through all of my personal struggles. To say I’ve been in a personal rut post pregnancy is an understatement. I’ve been searching for a way to feel more self confident in my ‘new’ body.

I did my session as a birthday gift for my husband while trying to figure out the balance of my feelings towards my body, but it ended up being such a bigger thing for me emotionally to see myself beyond the lumps and bumps post pregnancy.

I should preface: I am not emotional at all, and have have a severe case of resting bitch face when I’m starting to feel overwhelmed or self conscious.
